Did you fall for a scam, and send money through Paypal, perpetrated through the identity of mariamwague225?

Well unfortunately I did and I notified Paypal of the fraud within 30 minutes of the transaction and spoke to an agent who told me they could not do anything. They couldn't stop the transaction that was less than an hour old.

I then called the bank and tried to block the transaction and they couldn't do anything since the transaction hadn't yet posted to my account. 

It takes 2-3 days for an ACH transfer to show up in your account and at least 24 hours to be withdrawn, how would this not be reversible if the transaction is less than an hour old?

It's time to put a stop to this kind of fraud. Financial institutions are not doing enough to protect us and it wouldn't surprise me if Paypal reverses the transaction and keeps the funds transferred from my bank. Who would know?

I am looking for others that fell for the same scam and were declined reimbursement from Paypal. I believe that if I can show that there were multiple victims, then any victim after Tuesday 1/14/2025 5pm would have a really good defense that Paypal neglected to protect their accounts since Paypal was notified of the fraud.
